WHAT IS A FUNDED TRADER?
FTMO is a third-party affiliate.
A funded trader is a trader that has been granted access to an FTMO proprietary live trading account with trading balances from $10,000- $25,000- $50,000, $100,000, up to $200,000.
FTMO has developed a 2-step evaluation course. These two steps consist of the FTMO Challenge and the Verification. The course is specifically tailored to discovering talent within a trader.
Upon successful completion, traders are offered a placement in the FTMO Proprietary Trading firm, where they can remotely manage up to 400,000 USD and continuously grow the account according to our Scaling Plan.
As an FTMO Trader, traders are eligible to keep up to 90% of the profits they generate.
FTMO has been operating successfully since 2015 and they have already provided thousands of traders with their FTMO Accounts connected to their Proprietary Trading Firm.
The account is provided to the funded trader by a FTMO after the trader pays a fee and passes a challenge and verification phase. Note: that the fee is refundable when the trader passes the verification phase.
The Challenge duration is 30 days. The minimum time to complete the Challenge is ten trading days. The verification duration is 30 days.
The minimum time to complete the verification is ten (10) trading days.
To avoid any confusion, after a trader successfully passes the FTMO challenge and verification phase, by demonstrating that the trader can trade responsibly, manage risk properly and meet all of FTMO’s trading objectives, (where the profit target is in balance with the pre-set drawdown), the trader becomes a funded trader and is provided with a demo account with virtual funds connected to the FTMO’s proprietary trading firms live trading account with real capital.
This is where the funded trader generates real cash flow. The funded trader could be entitled to earn up to 90% of profits generated in the Account.
The funded trader will have the same account balance size as chosen for your preceding Challenge and Verification.
